The BrandLab Names New Development and Program Directors

Brian Gioielli
Twin Cities-based non-profit The BrandLab has named Brian Gioielli development director and Monica Mason program director.

Brian Gioielli joins The BrandLab with more than ten years of non-profit leadership experience, most recently as director of major and alumni giving at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He also helped found The 12 Foundation, an organization that coordinates fundraising events for local charities. Additionally, he is currently serving as vice chair of the board of directors for the Twin Cities chapter of the Young Non-Profit Professional Network.

Monica Mason, who joined the organization in 2010 as an instructor and staff assistant, rejoined as outreach director in 2012. She brings to the role her passion of working with diverse youth and finding new opportunities for students to engage with marketing and advertising professionals, while helping students navigate a pathway to this industry.

Monica Mason
“Brian and Monica both have amazing commitment to The BrandLab and an impressive record of engaging and rallying people around our common cause and mission,” says The BrandLab Director Ellen Walthour. “Their leadership will greatly benefit The BrandLab as we look to take our growth to the next level.

The BrandLab’s mission is to change the face and voice of the marketing industry by introducing, guiding and preparing students of diverse backgrounds for careers in marketing. Its classroom, Summer Institute, Connect and community programs all help to provide exposure and access to creative career fields that students might not have known existed.
The BrandLab is supported by more than 32 agencies and marketing departments in the Twin Cities — from Fallon to General Mills — to provide learning opportunities for students from field trips to summer internships. At the same time, more than 500 students take part in The BrandLab coursework taught by instructors and marketing industry volunteers in 20+ classrooms across the Twin Cities. The American Advertising Foundation gave the nonprofit its 2012 Mosaic Award as Best Multi-Ethnic Student Program, and PR Week awarded it a Diversity Distinction in PR Award in 2013.
The BrandLab is working to change the face and voice of the marketing industry by preparing a next generation of work-ready, diverse talent to seize successful careers in an industry that would have otherwise been just out of reach. The BrandLab depends on the support of the marketing community to succeed — and its list of supporting agencies and marketing departments is growing. GdB helps local software company ‘Pump up the JAMF’

More and more companies are allowing employees to use their Apple devices for work. And the software most often used to manage and secure all those devices?  The Casper Suite from JAMF Software.

That’s the focus of a 60-second video created by Minneapolis-based GdB, in which mild-mannered ‘IT Bob’ is transformed into ‘Roberto’, as he saunters through a corporate office, managing and securing Apple devices with the coolness of a Spanish bullfighter.

“There’s a history of IT and the workforce having an adversarial relationship,” said Mike Devine, JAMF Software Director of Marketing. “This video shows how Apple and the Casper Suite changes all that, so IT pros can go from managing problems to managing productivity.”

The video is part of multi-faceted online campaign targeting IT professionals.

Since 2002, JAMF Software—and the Casper Suite solution—have made it easy for businesses, schools and other enterprises to use and manage Apple devices in their organizations. Find out why more than 4,000 businesses and schools rely on JAMF Software to manage 3,000,000+ Apple devices across the globe at jamfsoftware.com .
