For Your Usefull/Useless Information File

It may not come as a surprise to those who know me, but I pride myself on being ahead of the technology curve. At times however, I see someone do something on the computer that makes me wonder if I am a total computer idiot. Keyboard shortcuts is one area I could improve on.

For example, the other day I was sitting in a meeting where a video was being shown. It is always awkward when showing a video in Windows Media Player to make it a full screen without interrupting the movie. Well, I learned that by clicking Alt+Enter it makes it full screen or if you prefer to use Real Player for video it is Ctrl+3.

Then later that week, I was watching a co-worker trying to insert a row in an Excel spreadsheet. Imagine my delight when I saw that after inserting one row you can repeat this move by clicking F4, which is the repeat key. Awesome!

My point? There are a million shortcuts out there and every once in awhile you are hit with one that is so obvious (and helpful) it makes you wonder why you never knew about it before. Anybody else feel my pain?
