Jeffrey Busch, CEO/Managing Director of Spyglass, was recently appointed to the Minnesota District Export Council (DEC). The Minnesota DEC provides local leadership in Minnesota on exporting through its more than 25 member experts that are appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce. Busch will be serving a four-year term as a member of the council.
“This is a great opportunity to help Minnesota businesses build and grow their export channels,” said Busch. “Exports are a vital component of the Minnesota economy, strengthening individual companies, stimulating economic growth and creating jobs statewide. I am pleased to serve in this important leadership position, and I look forward to being part of the Minnesota DEC.”
Busch has worked in the marketing industry for more than 25 years for global companies like Microsoft, Safeco Insurance, Optum, Northwestern Trust, Retail Pro and many others. Before joining Spyglass, Busch spent 16 years leading an award-winning Seattle-based advertising agency that served a variety of industries including health care, software/web applications, retail/chain stores, hospitality, packaged foods and manufacturing, among others. Busch is also the National President of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
In 2013, the Minnesota DEC received the 2013 DEC of the Year award from the U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Dept. of Commerce. The Minnesota DEC was cited for achievements in company outreach, innovation and strategic management.
