Haberman recently added five new members to its existing tribe of 25 modern storytellers: Laura Bernhardson (Interactive Strategist), Ellery Luse (Interactive Specialist), Sarah Scharff (Project Manager), Leslie Sweetland (Executive Assistant), and Toccara Torres (Account Manager). The additions help to serve the diverse needs of Haberman’s roster of pioneering clients, including work in branding, marketing, strategic communications, interactive and social media storytelling and more.
Laura Bernhardson joined the agency’s growing interactive department as an Interactive Strategist. Over the past six years, Laura has developed skills in event marketing & planning, nonprofit management & fundraising, community relations, and interactive marketing through her experience working for Mall of America, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, United Way, Alzheimer's Association, the University of St. Thomas Center for Nonprofit Management, Duluth based Miller-Dwan Foundation and SwimCreative advertising. Past clients include Grand Marais Area Tourism Association, First Solutions, and The Entrepreneur Fund.
Ellery Luse was promoted to Interactive Specialist after a 6-month project management internship at the agency. Ellery developed her agency skills including account planning, public relations, nonprofit communications, event planning, and project, interactive marketing and social media management through her work with W Hotels, Search Institute, and TommieMedia.com. Additionally, Ellery held leadership roles in the University of St. Thomas Adfed and National Student Advertising Competition, and she participates in Minneapolis-based interactive organizations MIMA and SMBMSP.
Sarah Scharff was hired as a Project Manager for Haberman’s interactive and creative services departments. Sarah has more than 14 years experience in advertising and branding, including posts at Fallon Worldwide and Duffy Design. Past client experience includes the Nestlé Purina global account and leading Purina brands: Dog Chow, ONE, Beneful and Pro Plan. She has also managed projects for Nordstrom, Holiday Inn Express, Panera and Burt’s Bees.
Leslie Sweetland was named Executive Assistant for Fred Haberman. For the past 13 years, she has worked in the creative industry – most recently at Duffy & Partners (D&P), assisting the founding partners with day-to-day client engagements, as well as focusing on new business. Prior to D&P, she was at Fallon Worldwide working as the executive assistant to the president of the Minneapolis office.
Toccara Torres joined the agency’s Pioneering Health team as an Account Manager. Toccara has more than five years experience in health care and grassroots public relations and marketing. She comes to Haberman from Weber Shandwick were she worked with clients including the American College of Surgeons, U.S. Army, Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Treasury and Federal Reserve Bank, and the Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
