The Twin Cities Chapter of the American Red Cross is looking for volunteers for its Public Affairs On-Call Team. Volunteers serve as spokespersons to provide information about Red Cross disaster relief activities to the Twin Cities media.
Time commitment is one after hours (evening/weekend) on-call shift per month, either a weekend or two to four weekday nights per month; scheduling is flexible. Experience with or knowledge of the media relations process and good communications skills are required. Training is provided and there are also opportunities to volunteer for national disasters.
